Folk Dancing During UU Hour - Thursday, Febrary 23, 2006 I would like to announce that on Thursday, February 23, the Greek Club will perform some traditional folk dances!

Each year, the HR people at Cal Poly hold a banquet. This year it is a Greek theme, so we [Greek Club] have been asked to provide entertainment. The performance will be on Thursday Feb. 23, from 11:30am to 12:00pm. The Mustang Daily will also be there to write a story about us. Practices start this Saturday, January 28 from 10am-12pm at St. Andrews Greek Orthodox Church!

I encourage all to join the dance practices even if you don't plan to perform. The Greek Club is a multicultural club and what better way to learn about the Hellenic culture than through its dances!

Contact Elias Panos if you have any questions.

Spring 2004

Summer is here! - Wed, Jun 09 2004 The quarter is over. Good luck to everyone with their finals. We had our dinner on Friday evening, and everyone who showed up had a good time. Have a nice summer and I hope to see you all again next fall.
Culture Fest 2004 - Sat, May 22 2004 The Greek Club went to the Culture Fest today. A big crowd gathered to watch the performances of various groups and to sample the various foods offered at the booths. We sold backlava, again. We got a spot near the exit, far away from the center of the Mission plaza, but we still made a good showing. You can find a picture of us and the booth here.
Open House Photos - Sat, Apr 17 2004 Open House pictures have been posted here. I had to make them smaller in order to shrink their filesizes because we do not have that much space on our website. If you want the originals contact me at sgeorgio@calpoly.edu.
Gyro Hour Report - Thur, Apr 15 2004 Gyro hour was a sell-out sucess! Thank you for all the time and effort you guys put into it. Now we have open house:) I have to set up the booth tomorrow at 5:00, so I could use some help setting it up...our booth is going to be between the agriculture/english building and math building (in the little parking lot area) so if you could meet me there that would be great. Open house starts at 10 saturday and goes until 4 or 5 on Saturday. Don't forget to wear a greek club shirt! Shirts and dues= $15 total and I have tabs on who owes me so don't try to escape. I realized that we forgot to get pictures for gyro hour so I wanted to get some at open house for our website. If someone has a digital camera that would be helpful, otherwise I'll just try to take some pictures and scan them in. I hope to see you guys at open house, thanks again for your efforts!

Winter 2004

Gyro Hour - Tue, Mar 09 2004 We have talked to the owner of Rock n' Roll Diner, so it looks like we are going to be able to sell gyros during UU hour. I'm not going to try to squeeze in a meeting before we have break because I know everyone is pretty busy, but I do need people to respond. I need to know (by this week):
  1. If we want to do UU hour during our first week back from spring break or the second week back
  2. How many people can help, even if its just for half an hour. UU hour is at 11:00 but we'll need help setting up and cleaning up.
Oh, and I will have a meeting the Sunday before we do our Gyro hour so we can coordinate everything. Enjoy spring break! Hope to hear from you!
The Passion of Christ - Wed, Mar 03 2004 The Passion of The Christ will play @ 4:30 at the Fremont theater on Marsh St. in SLO. All members are welcome. We will meet between 4:00 and 4:15 this Friday. Hope to see you all there.
